• The new Growing Together classes begin in March. See the adult ministries page for information regarding the class offerings.
• RUMMAGE SALE!! Pine Grove Community Church in Rhinelander is having a “Help for Haiti” Rummage Sale on Saturday, February 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds will be given to Visions of Hope Ministries, the missions support organizations in the U.S. for the Evangelical Free Church of America in northern Haiti. They are currently responding to the tremendous needs of the earthquake survivors.
• You are invited to come and learn more about Alice McFarlane's upcoming mission trip to Romania. A gathering will be held Saturday, Feb. 27th, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Mike and Ann Coshun’s, 9480 Woods Lane, Minocqua. There are directions at the Information Desk. There will be snacks and drinks. Everyone is welcome!!
• For those who attended the first Equip Again class, the second class will be March 14, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
• FAITH EVANGELICAL FREE WINTER FUN DAY AT FORT WILDERNESS (This is for everyone! Members, Non-Members and Guests), SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28, Activities begin at 1:00 p.m. and end promptly at 4:30 p.m. Cross Country Skiing, Ice Skating, Snowshoeing, Tubing, Broomball, Sleigh Rides, Table Games (please bring your favorite), Fireside Fellowship and crafting. New This year: There will not be a dinner to follow. We need to be out of the building by 5:00 p.m. We will graze on snacks and drinks in the Main Dining Room from 1:00-4:30 p.m. PLEASE BRING 1 OR 2 OF THE FOLLOWING: *Hot chocolate *Soda *Tea *Juice *Favorite snack food. SIGN-UP at the Communication Center area by Feb. 21st. A “Goodwill” offering will be taken for Fort Wilderness. Bring your friends and neighbors! Questions: Call Carla @ 453-3950 or Craig @ 277-3454.
• Attention Quilters!! Cathy Iverson and Teresa Locknane want to plan a get-together to make service quilts for those in need or to send along with mission groups, etc. If you are interested in participating in this project you can contact Teresa at 356-2537 or email dtlocknane@yahoo.com . Once they have an idea of who might want to, and what days/times might work out, they will set a date.
• Baby Bottle Fundraiser - Baby bottles are available in the lobby for you to fill with your spare change in the next 3 - 4 weeks. The money will be used to fund the start-up of the Northwoods Pregnancy Center. Their Mission: “To provide a place where we desire to empower individuals in the greater Oneida County area to make healthy life choices related to their sexuality and child bearing focused on a Christ-like view of human life. “ Return bottles to the Office Workroom.
• Every Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. Jerry and Ann Peters open up their home for anyone who is 20-something! Dinner is always served, followed by some type of activity, cards, watching a football game etc…just hanging out and talking with people your own age. Invite a friend!!
